About 11+ Texts
11+ Texts is a small, independent UK shop making printable English comprehension practice for children in Year 5 and Year 6.
What we make
Each set takes a well-loved classic (Oliver Twist, A Christmas Carol, Alice in Wonderland, Black Beauty, Peter Pan, The Railway Children, The Secret Garden and The Wind in the Willows) and retells it in a few short chapters. A two-page study pack follows, covering vocabulary in context, finding evidence, long sentences, literary devices and inference. Last comes a two-page answer guide for the adult.
Why the layout matters
The pages are laid out to be easier to read, which helps children who find dense text hard going. We use Verdana, left-aligned text, generous line spacing, a cream background, no italics and well-spaced writing lines. Everything is written in British English.
How the materials are made
These materials were created with the help of AI tools and then carefully checked, corrected and edited by us.
Independence
11+ Texts is independent and isn't affiliated with any school, exam board or test provider.
